
Sault Ice Hawks U16 Tournament Team Captures Gold In Paris

The Sault Ice Hawks U16
Tournament Team captured gold at the Annual Paris Ringette Tournament held in Paris, Ontario
this past weekend. The Ice Hawks ran off four straight victories on their way to
capturing gold. In round robin play, the Ice Hawks defeated
London 4-1, Mitchell 4-2, and Exeter 3-2.
In the Championship game, the Ice Hawks earned a hard fought 2-1 victory over Burlington. With the Ice Hawks down 1-0, Krista Maeumbaed scored the tying goal. Emilya Junor scored what proved to be the winning goal a short time later. The Ice Hawks were then able to hold off a late charge by Burlington with determined defensive play in their own end.
Team members include: Gavin Bell, Kaylin Paquette, Faye Crozier, Caitlyn Rogozynski, Kelsey O’Donnell, Katelyn Desgagne, Emily Giovagnoli, Katie Higgs, Krista Maeumbaed, Rachel Maniacco, Emilya Junor, Avery See, Taylor Elliott, and Natalie Reed.
