U12 IceHawks Bring Home Silver Medal!!!
Submitted By pam muncaster on Monday, December 2, 2013
A very exciting and proud weekend for our U12 girls in Sudbury!Facing Sudbury Friday afternoon as our first game, the girls came out with a loss of 8-4, the score by no means reflecting on the effort the girls gave the entire 2 periods! Saturday, our second game against Timmins1, the girls brought their heart and skills to the ice to win 12-6! Sunday morning, 9:15, our girls were able to show Timmins2 what the U12 IceHawks are made of!!!! Our defensive players gave it their all keeping the opposing team out of our end and only allowing a few shots on net and giving Lily, our goalie, her very first shut out!!! After a 3 way tie, and goals for and against, we squeezed Sudbury out of the running and faced Walden in the finals!

The girls gave it their all, and at one point in the game only having a 2 goal difference, ended the game in a 10-5 loss.  Again the score showing no reflection on the effort given by ALL the girls! We came home extremely proud, very happy, with a lot of fun memories, and not to forget....a SILVER MEDAL!!!!!Way to go girls !!We are all very proud of you girls!!!
