U8 Ice Hawks shine in Ayr
Submitted By Daniel Wood-Salomom on Wednesday, February 18, 2015
From the moment they stepped on the ice, the U8 Ice Hawks showed everyone that little kids can have big skills.  The girls could hardly wait to get out on the ice and play!  They skated hard from the first whistle to the last buzzer, with smiles on their faces the entire time.   Their occasional on-ice antics also kept the crowd quite entertained.  Coaches Dave, Dan and Christine were very proud of how the girls played.  They practiced hard leading up to the tournament and it was great to see them put their skills to the test.  They didn’t disappoint!  They finished the day with a win, a tie, and a whole lot of fun.

The girls were also thrilled to take the stage for the cheer, mascot and banner competition and were especially excited that their banner won.  Many thanks to Susan for her assistance with the banner. Thank you to the parents for their support, and to the coaches for dedicating their time to the team. Team roster:  Maia Fabbro, Lily Mick, Brooklyn Gioia, Emma Walker, Sophie Kresin, Danielle Baril, Talia Wardell, Amber Frigon, Debra Martone, Katie Mason
