Burlington Blast Tournament 2018- U12 PP
Submitted By SRC on Tuesday, January 16, 2018
Congratulations to our U12 Petite Provincial Sault Ice Hawks team who took home a silver medal on the January 12-14 weekend at the 2018 Burlington Blast Tournament. The Sault went through the round robin play 3 and 1 with wins against The City Of Ottawa (3-0), Waterloo Wildfire (6-1) and West Ferris 67’s (8-1).  The Sault played The Chatham Thunder in their final game of the round robin losing 3-2 in a hard fought affair that saw Chatham score the go ahead goal with 11.8 seconds left.

The Sault finished second in the round robin setting up a rematch with The Chatham Thunder for the finals.  The game saw the Thunder jump out to an early 4 goal lead but the Sault fought back hard winning battles and pressuring the Thunder for the majority of the game but couldn’t close the gap on the score board falling 5-2 to the Thunder who take away the Gold.

It was a challenging and fun weekend for the girls.  These ladies have been working so hard this season, and have put together an amazing team.  They should be as proud of themselves as we are of them!  Congratulations ladies, coaches, parents and families!  Great Job!

U12PP Sault Ice Hawks: Alexa Young, Audrey VanBuskirk, Danielle Baril, Emma Malone, Emma Walker, Elexi Frigon, Lilliana Sawchyn, Mackenzie King, Madison Rogozynski, Morgan Smith, Sophie Kresin, and Taylor King.
