U12P Ice Hawks Take Bronze at Provincials in Waterloo!
Submitted By SRC on Tuesday, March 6, 2018
Congratulations to the U12P Ice Hawks on winning bronze medals in the U12P Waterloo 2018 Provincials tournament this past weekend!

The team has come a long way from their 0-3-1 record in their first tournament this season in Oshawa, to this past weekend playing in semi-final to take home the Bronze!  The round robin part of the tournament started with a loss to Timmins - who ended up taking home gold!  They then won the following 3 games and tied their 5th!  They had a phenomenal tournament!

Our ladies - Elexi, Alexa, Morgan, Madison, Sophie, Danielle, Mackenzie, Lilliana, Taylor, Audrey, and the two Emma's... There are twelve 10, 11 and 12 year olds that went out onto the ice this weekend and are bringing home Bronze Medals!

In Oshawa last fall our girls were outmatched, outskilled and outplayed... fast forward through 2 other tournaments in Burlington and Kitchener, lots of house league games and practices, dry land training, gym practices, and so many Ice Hawks practices, to bring home a bronze medal in Provincials! WOW! So much hard work ladies! COULDN'T BE PROUDER!  Not only are you amazing athletes, but you are amazing young women! Great season U12P Ice Hawks!

A HUGE thank you to our team staff as well - Head Coach Kerry Young, Assistant Coaches - Chris Kresin, Trevor Sawchyn & Dan Frigon, and to our Trainer Allison Frigon.  Thank you for all of your time, your dedication and believing in these kids!

On to next season ladies!  Hope to see all of you at try-outs.

Lorrie Sawchyn
2017/2018 U12P Team Manager
