SRC May Update
Submitted By Amy Peltinon on Tuesday, May 26, 2020
We hope that you and your families are all doing well.

If you’ve been watching our web site and social media, you’ve seen the latest Ringette Ontario Update “Back on the Ice 2020-2021” issued last week. In that update, Ringette Ontario describes the efforts being made to develop guidance on issues such as competition structure, health and safety, and possible rule modifications. The Ringette Ontario Update can be viewed at

No announcement has been made or guidance provided by Ringette Ontario yet, and this in-part is affecting our registration process for the 2020-2021 season. The SRC Executive Committee is considering registration options, but until guidance from Ringette Ontario is provided, we do not have a clear understanding of what requirements for this season (ice, insurance, etc.) will be in order to confirm fees.

A Ringette Ontario board meeting is taking place this weekend, and we understand these and related issues will be discussed. We are hopeful that guidance is forthcoming but recognize the response to COVID-19 impacts remains an evolving concern. We appreciate your patience as we work through this.

Regarding our Annual General Meeting (AGM), this has not yet been re-scheduled and proper notification will be circulated once a date is set.

The Executive Committee will continue to provide the Membership with information as it becomes available. In the meantime, please be sure to visit our web page and social media sites on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and newest addition YouTube Channel to stay connected!

Take care and stay healthy,
Chris Kresin
SRC Vice President
