2020-2021 Registration is OPEN!
Submitted By Bruce Graham on Monday, July 27, 2020
Hello SRC members,Registration for the 2020-2021 season is officially OPEN! We know that many of you are anxious to register and to get back to Ringette activities... we are too! Our approach will follow the Ringette Ontario "Return to Ringette Guidelines" that layout a 5-stage process to ultimately return to 5 on 5 play, including our regular league and tournament play.

The Stages are:

The full Ringette Ontario Guidelines can be viewed at: https://ringetteontario.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/RO-Return-to-Ringette-v1.0-Updated.pdf

Ringette Ontario is allowing the resumption or Ringette activities, upon each Club demonstrating their capability to comply with the Return to Ringette Guidelines. When we resume our season we expect to be in at least RO Stage 2, perhaps RO Stage 3. RO Stage 2 is focused on individual training and practicing emphasizing small groups focusing on the development of fundamental skills, on the ice or dry land. RO Stage 3 would allow modified games, such as 3 on 3 or 4 on 4. Progression through the Stages is based on conditions established by the Province, Algoma Public Health, and the City of Sault Ste. Marie.

We recognize that many of you may have questions concerning what COVID-19 precautions will be taken by the Club. In addition to the requirements in place at the various facilities we use and Ringette Ontario requirements, the Club is developing guidelines with a public health nurse experienced in developing return-to-play guidelines acceptable to Algoma Public Health. The Club guidelines will include protocols for players, parents, and coaches as well as incident response plans and will be available to all members. Protocols will include, for example, self-screening, physical distancing, and contact tracing. In conjunction with the start of the season, sessions will be convened to review the Club guidelines with Club membership.

Whichever RO Stage we are in at the start of the season, the Club intends to deliver a program that continues to build our ringette skills in a manner that is safe to all participants while focusing on fun, fitness, and friendship! Registration fees have largely remained unchanged from last season as we are hopeful that the season will run its full duration. A small increase to Bunny registration fees was made to better reflect the costs to deliver that program. If the season is cut-short, the Club intends to issue prorated refunds. Payment options are available and are described on the RAMP registration system.

PLEASE REGISTER AT THIS LINK: http://SSMRingette.rampregistrations.com. A document to assist you through the registration process can be accessed at the Club website under the Registration tab (www.saultringette.com).

Members who register and pay in full by the end of the day August 31, 2020, will have their name entered into a draw for free registration!

We hope that you are all making the most of the summer and that you continue to take care... see you soon!
