From Bon Soo to Waterloo!  An Exciting Weekend Ahead for the Sault Ringette Club

The Sault Ringette Club is gearing up for an action-packed weekend! Our Sault Ice Hawks U12A, U14B, and U16B teams are heading to the Waterloo Winterfest Tournament, taking place January 9-12, 2025. Meanwhile, back in Sault Ste. Marie, over 30 of our ringette players will support the Bon Soo Winter Carnival promo event in collaboration with the Soo Greyhounds.

Fresh off a thrilling gold medal win by our U14A team at the Whitby Ringette Tournament last weekend, where our 14A team triumphed over the Timmins Tornados in a hard-fought final, our fellow Ice Hawks are eager to continue the momentum. The success of 14A in Whitby is a testament to the talent, grit, and sportsmanship that define our players, coaching staff, and club. Now, it’s time for our U12A, U14B, and U16B teams to make their mark in Waterloo.

Supporting Bon Soo Winter Carnival

While some of our players will be lighting up the rinks in Waterloo, others will contribute to the spirit of winter right here at home. Several young athletes from the Sault Ringette Club will participate in Sault Ste. Marie's beloved winter carnival, Bon Soo, as part of our community outreach efforts. On Saturday, January 11th, our players will take to the ice during the Soo Greyhounds game Chuck a Puck event.  Please come out, cheer them on, and buy a puck (sorry, no rings…. yet!) to help support Bon Soo!

Whether on the road competing or lending a helping hand at Bon Soo, our athletes embody the values of ringette: dedication, teamwork, and a commitment to giving back to the community. We’re incredibly proud of all our players and look forward to an exciting weekend of competition and camaraderie in Waterloo and at home.
