Breaking News - New Executive and Staff

Hey, everyone! My name is Amy Peltonen, and I've recently volunteered for the President role with the Sault Ringette Club. I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself, but more importantly to let you know about the exciting changes that are happening with our team as we prepare for the upcoming season. Although I haven't sat on the executive board the past few years, I have been an active member as both Registrar and Marketing Director. I have two inspiring daughters whose passion for ringette has led me to head coach in house league and B-division Ice Hawks for the last 7 years or so. I'm admittedly nervous about coming back on in this particular role as there are some pretty big shoes to fill; however, the team we have is incredibly supportive and motivated to help grow this club, so I'm nervously excited to be here.

Earlier in the year, the Club put a callout to fill several positions, and I know that we have a lot of dedicated and passionate ringette fans in Sault Ste. Marie because the number of people who've stepped forward is amazing:

Thank you, everyone, for joining our team. We are excited to continue growing the sport of ringette in Sault Ste. Marie, and it certainly takes a lot of hands to make that happen. That being said, we still have a few outstanding positions that need to be filled:

Provincial Tournament Coordinator

Ice Coordinator Assistant

Also... and perhaps the most exciting news in this announcement, is that we are anticipating having four teams in both our U12 and U14 house league divisions! This means that we need coaches... if you've been on the fence about signing up (or you haven't gotten around to completing your application), know that we have a highly motivated and experienced Coaching Development Coordinator (Kate Morley) and previous coaches who can help guide and mentor you. Now's the time to get involved and join our growing team.
