Six Teams, Four Divisions: Sault Ice Hawks head to Greater Sudbury Tournament

The Sault Ringette Club will be sending six teams across four divisions to the Greater Sudbury Ringette Tournament November 22-24, 2025. This annual event is the only Northern Ontario ringette tournament of the season (aside from the Northeast Regional Championships in North Bay in March 2025) and offers an exciting opportunity for our athletes to compete at a high level and showcase their skills. For several Ice Hawks teams, this will be their first tournament of the season, while our U12A and U14A teams are returning for their second tournament of the year.

Updates will be provided throughout the tournament on our social media platforms, so be sure to follow along and stay connected as our teams compete over the weekend. 

Team Schedules

Here are the schedules for each of our teams.  Semi final and final games will be posted as teams qualify. 

U10 Ice Hawks

Head Coach: Ryan Longo
This will be the first tournament of the season for our U10 Ice Hawks team. These young athletes are excited to hit the ice and compete against other teams from around the region. Their enthusiasm and teamwork will be key to their success!

• Saturday, Nov 23: 4:00PM

U12A Ice Hawks

Head Coach: Bruce Graham
The U12A team is looking forward to their second tournament of the season. After a strong showing in their first competition where they placed 3rd, they are ready to build on that success in this tournament. Their focus will be on communication, teamwork and fast-paced play.

• Saturday, Nov 23: 9:00AM and 7:00PM

U12B Ice Hawks

Head Coach: Chris Filiatrault
This tournament marks the beginning of the tournament season for our U12B team and they are eager to show what they’ve been working on. With a great mix of experience and new players, the U12B team is ready to challenge themselves and have fun!

• Saturday, Nov 23: 10:00AM

U14A Ice Hawks

Head Coach: Chelsea Clingen
The U14A team is back for their second tournament of the season and ready to  take home another gold! Building on the success of the Oshawa Fall Tournament, our U14A team is ready for the challenge ahead. 

Schedule:

• Friday, Nov 22: 12:00 Noon and 9:00PM
• Saturday, Nov 23: 9:00AM and 2:00PM

U14B Ice Hawks

Head Coach: Amy Peltonen
This is the first of three tournaments this season for the U14B team. With a focus on developing individual and team skills, they are looking forward to learning from each game and building strong momentum as the season progresses.

Schedule:

• Saturday, Nov 23: 10:15AM and 7:15PM

U16B Ice Hawks

Head Coach: Matt Jarrell
This will be the first tournament of the season for our U16B team and they’re ready to hit the ice with a strong sense of teamwork and determination. With some new faces on the team, they’ll be looking to gel quickly and make a big impact in their division.
