Six Teams: A Battle for Gold and Silver at the Paris Ringette Tournament
The Sault Ste. Marie Ice Hawks have shown once again why they are a top contenders in the game of ringette. This past weekend, all six of our teams made it to the gold medal game at the Paris Ringette tournament, showcasing an incredible blend of talent, perseverance, and heart. What an exciting weekend it was! And it wouldn’t be ringette season if we were not driving back in a snowstorm!
Gold and Silver Medals Across the Board
Out of our six teams, three proudly took home gold while the other three earned well-deserved silver. Here’s the breakdown of the Ice Hawks’ results:

🥈 U12A - Silver
🥈 U12B - Silver
🥇 U14A - Gold
🥈 U14B - Silver
🥇 U16B - Gold
Each of these results tells a unique story of hard work and team spirit. From our young U10 players securing the gold, to the U12 and U14 teams pushing their limits for silver and gold finishes, and our oldest players on the U16 team locking in the top spot, our Ice Hawks exemplified teamwork and club spirit at every level. It was wonderful to see all the teams coming together to cheer their clubmates on!
The Spirit of the Game
In every tournament, there are always moments of victory and defeat. And in those moments, we are reminded of what sports truly teaches us — resilience, character, and growth. The losses may sting, but they’re just as important as the wins. They push us to dig deeper, work harder, and come back stronger next time. It's not just about the medals; it's about how each team came together, learned from each experience, and supported one another every step of the way.
We couldn’t be prouder of our girls for putting it all out on the ice. Their efforts and dedication are what make the Ice Hawks amazing. To have all six teams in the final matchups is an incredible accomplishment. There is no doubt, everyone in Paris knew the Ice Hawks were there!

With the completion of the Paris Ringette Tournament, our club is now turning our full attention to the upcoming Ringette Ontario A Provincial Championships, being held here March 13-16, 2025.
