What is the Ringette Ontario ‘A’ Provincial Tournament? The Ringette Ontario ‘A’ Provincial Tournament is an annual event that brings together top-tier A division teams from across Ontario to compete for provincial championship titles. This prestigious tournament showcases the incredible talent and sportsmanship of ringette players, providing an exciting and competitive atmosphere for athletes, coaches, and fans alike.  The tournament is hosted by Ringette Ontario and the Sault Ringette Club.

What is the official website for the tournament? Please refer to the Ringette Ontario webpage for official information regarding the tournament www.ringettteontario.com 

Who is playing in this tournament? The 2025 Ringette Ontario Provincial A Championships, scheduled from March 13 to 16 in Sault Ste. Marie, will feature a lineup of teams from across Ontario. A total of 44 teams, encompassing approximately 600 players, will compete in various age categories, including:

 U14 (Under 14)

U16 (Under 16)

U19 (Under 19)

18+ (18 and over)

Who is organizing this event? This tournament is a partnership between Ringette Ontario and the dedicated volunteers within the Sault Ringette Club.  Hosting an event of this nature takes countless hours of volunteer work by a group of Sault Ringette Club volunteers and a tournament organizing committee. Thank you to everyone who has helped out.

Where are games being played? Games will be hosted at three key locations in Sault Ste. Marie:

  • Northern Community Centre (NCC) - 556 Goulais Ave, Sault Ste. Marie, ON
  • John Rhodes Community Centre - 260 Elizabeth St, Sault Ste. Marie, ON
  • Rankin Arena - 17 Batchewana St, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A 5K9

Where can I find updated results/ scores for the teams? All score and statistics will be available on the Ringette Ontario website www.ringetteontario.com select Provincials tab and then age group you would like to view.

Where is Tournament HQ? The official headquarters for the Ringette Ontario tournament will be located at the Northern Community Centre (NCC).

Who is playing from the Sault Ringette Club? The Sault Ice Hawks U14A team will be proudly representing the Sault Ringette Club. The team is led by Head Coach Chelsea Clingen, who will also be competing as a player for Greater Sudbury.

When is FAN NIGHT? Join us for Fan Night on Thursday March 13th for the SSM Ice Hawks vs. Etobicoke game  at 6:40 on NCC Pad 1 and FILL THE STANDS with NOISEMAKERS and show your support for the Sault Ice Hawks as they take on their opponents on home ice! Let’s create an electrifying atmosphere for our hometown team and pack the stands with players, families and friends!  Bring those cow bells, horns, clappers and loud voices!!

What is the 7th Skater and when can I see them? The 7th Skater is a player from our FUN 2 or FUN 3 division of the Sault Ringette Club who will open our Ice Hawks games with an honourary lap while carrying the Sault Ringette Club flag. This is a tribute to our club, players, and teams, symbolizing pride and support for our home teams.  A full schedule of skaters and times will be posted shortly.

Are there any vendors on-site? Yes! The Sault Ringette Club will be hosting a raffle table with various prizes, including gift baskets, as well as a 50/50 draw. In addition, local vendors will be on-site, offering a variety of products and merchandise.

Positivity Pin Trading Teams are encouraged to bring positivity pins—decorated clothespins with uplifting messages—to trade with other teams. This fun trend, which started with cheerleading teams, has now spread to other sports. Players and fans are welcome to participate! Check out "positivity pins TikTok trend" for creative inspiration.
