Sault Ice Hawks U12A Wrap Up Season with Bronze at Provincials
The Sault Ringette Club’s U12A Ice Hawks wrapped up their 2024-2025 season on a high note at the 2025 Ringette Ontario U12A Provincial Championships, held from April 3rd to 6th in Markham-Stouffville. Hosted by the Markham-Stouffville Ringette Association, the event brought together sixteen of the top U12A teams from across Ontario, showcasing the best of youth ringette talent in a weekend full of excitement, teamwork, and fierce competition.
As the final tournament of the season, the Provincials marked a special milestone for the Ice Hawks. The team arrived with determination and energy, eager to test themselves against Ontario’s best. The tournament was more than just a series of games — it was a celebration of the players’ growth, commitment, and passion for the sport throughout the season.
The Ice Hawks came out strong in round-robin play, battling hard in each matchup. After a hard-fought semi-final loss to Ottawa Ice, the Ice Hawks bounced back in the bronze medal game, delivering a commanding 6-2 victory over Tillsonburg to secure a spot on the podium and end their season with pride.
The tournament was a memorable way to cap off a fantastic season filled with friendships, growth, and unforgettable moments on and off the ice.
