An Impressive Weekend for the Sault Ice Hawks at Greater Sudbury Ringette Tournament

Sault Ringette Club Shines at Greater Sudbury Tournament: 2 Gold & 2 Silver

This past weekend, the Sault Ringette Club proudly competed in the Greater Sudbury Ringette Tournament with six of our teams representing four divisions. We are excited to share that our athletes have achieved outstanding success, bringing home four medals—two gold and two silver!

Congratulations to all our teams for their hard work, dedication, and incredible sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Each player showcased their skills and passion for the sport, making our club proud both on and off the ice.

Gold Medalists: Congratulations to our U10 and U12A Ice Hawks! Demonstrating exceptional teamwork and determination these two teams clinched the top spot in their divisions!

Silver Medalists: The U14A and U14B Ice Hawks both narrowly missed out on the gold with impressive matches proudly bringing home silver medals.  Way to go, girls!

The Sault Ringette Club is incredibly proud of all of our team’s effort, perseverance, and the way you represented the Sault Ringette Club. Our 16B team played an impressive set of games in a challenging U16/19 division holding their own and keeping pace while the U12B girls held strong narrowly missing out on the semi finals with a win and two tied games.

Beyond the medals, ringette offers so much more—lasting friendships, teamwork, and unforgettable experiences both on and off the ice.

For players considering joining a travel team, joining the Ice Hawks an incredible opportunity to grow as athletes, build confidence, and share in the camaraderie that comes with being part of a supportive and dedicated group. These moments, both in victory and in challenge, create memories and life skills that go far beyond the rink.
